Medium deep honey color. The wine can be instantly recognized as a Sauvignon Blanc with its aromas of intense passion fruit, crushed nettles, some ripe gooseberry and hints of grass along with more developed nuances of wizened peach, cream and flinty smoke. The wine is lively, medium-bodied and a bit concentrated on the palate with vibrant, dry flavors of passion fruit, peach, some wet stone, a little bit of cream and butter, sweet-yet-sharp hint of sour yellow plums and sweet nuances of dried pineapple and stone fruits. The finish is fresh, crisp and surprisingly youthful with long flavors of blackcurrant leaves, tart citrus fruits, honey, some passion fruit, a little bit of overripe stone fruits and a touch of ripe gooseberries.

Although I'm no big fan of Sauvignon Blanc, this wine was very lovely and thoroughly impressive example of world-class Sauvignon Blanc. The wine showed remarkable richness and concentration, yet still feeling light-to-medium bodied, fresh and vibrant throughout. The wine is in a beautiful phase now, but that doesn't mean it couldn't develop even further from here. So very lovely, probably will at least keep, if not develop, for at least 7-10 years more. This is definitely a wine to turn the heads of SB-haters. I'm impressed.

  • Varietale ancora in primo piano, ben bilanciato in bocca tra morbidezza e acidita

  • Golden color. Crisp and typical SB, like a mix from a Sancerre and a NZ SB. Drink now - 2015.
