Medium-fullish, developed nose. Red fruit, dried cranberries, lightly chalky, animally hints. Some and spice. Medium-fullish, balanced, developed palate. Red fruit, spice, gently oaky, chalky note, some cranberry. Medium finish. Drink now. Lacks a bit of stuffing.

It's my first C-M so I'm no expert, but I rather enjoyed this. It's stalky and the acid is quite prominent, but after 20 minutes it's a pretty flavoursome drop. I'd say there might even be some small room for improvement. Drink by 2018.

Medium intensity nose with some complexity. Red fruit, lingonberries, chalk and tender spices. After a while it opens up with strawberries and wet earth. Nice. Medium body. Leaner palate. More tannic than fruity. Chalk, red currant, some spices and minerals. Light-footed. Sour vintage shines through. Next bottle in 2 years.

Quite funky nose at first. With air more subtle, finetuned and elegant. Light. Red berries, tender spices, wet stone and chalky mineral. Very gently oaky. Good nose. Quite light-bodied. Very, very acidic and fresh. On the tart side. A lightly perfumed, red-berry fruit lifts the wine. Lingonberries and cranberries. some chalk minerality. But too thin. From a village spot on the higher altitudes of Chambolle this wine is very light-footed and both altitude and vintage (2008 acid-driven) shows. Not sure if this has enough fruit to handle cellaring, but I will give it a try for added complexity and secondary aromas.
