Opened & poured into glasses to breathe. Pale clear ruby red. A half premier Cru vineyard. The sacred imagery in the name and the Leclerc label sets the tone as a wine to be handled quietly and seriously. Initially, the bright red berries burst on the palate and the nose. It takes a bit, but the acid begins carrying the wine through. It quickly rounds into balance and plays off some rich cheese quite well. Medium bodied and elegantly textured. I will admit to be left wanting a bit more depth beyond the strawberry & cherry notes, but the fruit is fresh & pure.
This is a graceful wine and almost plays crisp like a rose. It is a nice complement with dinner and is in a good spot for enjoyment right now.

By the glass at Hawksmoor Knightsbridge. Not sure how it was kept/preserved or when the bottle was opened. No apparent flaws. Soft and light , red berries dominate the nose, fresh but also not yet together and hopefully time will help. Lacks density and depth at this stage. 87 at best

watermelon jolly rancher, herbs, pasta dough, and bit of skim milk are shown. I think 2008 red burgs are in an awkward place right now. I’m going to wait at least a year on them. This bottle is 87 points.

Fairly brownish. Looks, smells and tastes older than it is. Funky nose with fading fruit. Drink up.

A decent enough wine, but too overripe for my tastes. Rather pruney.
Better value elsewhere.
