Pristine bottle. Loads of energy and fine mineral detail. Effusive aromatics and fabulously long and detailed finish. What a wonderful bottle. Reaffirms my love for Fichet’s wines. Showing young even. White Burgundy can be magical when you dodge the p’ox.

Very nice light straw colour. Nose of citrus and a bit of toffee and caramel. White and yellow fruits on palate but again a touch of butterscotch is intrusive. I liked the wine but the toffee and butterscotch hold it back from a higher score for me. It is not going downhill overnight, but as per butterscotch notes, I would drink sooner rather than later.

Closed upon opening. Needs many hours to even partially open up. Has a very nice intensive core of fresh fruit and wonderful purity. This will probably develop into a very nice wine with a few more years in cellar.

a rich and voluptuous Meursault, crisp with acidity but bearing gifts of apples and pears and spice, wonderfully complex and well balanced.
