  • Another stellar performance with this one. Dark fruit, still going strong. No semblance of aging here. One bottle left in the cellar and I'm going to age it a while longer to see how it does. Great wine night with Mr/Mrs WGDM and the HMCs........

  • Decanted 3 hours and drank over the next hour. Paired with Spanish Iberico Pork Pluma steak. Still pretty tight after three hours. Still needs a year or two to soften up. Amazing structure and packed with flavor layers. Easy to pick out St Emilion. No bricking at all. Looks like a two or three year old wine. The most tight 09 or 10 St Emilion I’ve had. Great complexity. I need to buy some of this to put in my cellar. Thanks to Mark1npt for leaving this bottle for my wife and I. That was quite generous and an outstanding wine. Just as good or better than more well known names like Canon La Gaffeliere, Larcis Ducasse or La Gaffeliere. Way better than Beausejour Becot IMO. Will be buying 2015 & 2016 also. Thank you Mark.

  • Thanks to Mark1pt this bottle was resting in the cellar just waiting for the right moment to get pulled.

The wife and I crushed this in a matter of about an hour. No formal notes just impression. This was a very solid leave behind. Thanks again my man!

  • Been a few years since I popped one of these, felt like I needed to do it for Ken's event last night. Decanted 3 hours at home then back into the bottle under cork to take to the event. This event was done entirely blind and everyone guessed New World cab on this one. It just really smelled and felt like that. Looking back on it, I should have just pnp'd or decanted for only an hour. The first hour this was a big fruited, dark, if not slightly juicy wine. Cali people would have loved it, a 94 then. With the decant it devolved into a pure Bdx.....stewed red plums, earthy, a little mushroom, but the tannins it finished with were still a little astringent. 90 at the end so averaging it out to a 92, overall. If you have these, I suggest drinking in the first hour or two at most. It rocks pretty good right in that tight window.
