Great. Awesome acidity. Great tannins. Gave this a 6 hour decant. Will let my remaining bottles sit until at least 2025. Better as it warmed to room temp.

Tuesday Night Double Blind $60+ (Alpharetta, GA): Dull crimson maroon core with dull reddish orange rim, Nebbiolo with some age; classic nose, screams Nebbiolo, tar, roses, cedar, dried cherry, sandalwood, layered; very good balance on the palate, others said this was really tannic but I felt this was in a stage where all of its weight was put on and at a point of softening going forward, sweet fruit, sweet tannin, medicinal cherry; very good, classic, tasty, Verduno delivers again.

Half-bottle purchased directly from the Castello cantina. Decided to open on wine maker's recommendation that smaller format tends to mature quickly... and was then surprised:
Decanted with almost no sediment.
Color: Dark purple; opened into a complex mix of bright berries, flowers, and wonderful nebbiolo aromas.
Body and flavor: medium to full bodied; very tannic; needed air to open. Lush fruit with excellent acid balance.
Aftertaste: Lingering
I was surprised because this bottle could age a few years more. Happy to have several regular format bottles to age!
Nose: Initially closed. Opens to

Really good. Nice smooth finish. Decent acidity and lots of fruit. Typical tar and roses on the nose.
Really enjoyable wine. Gave this 5 hour decant. Lots of life left in this vintage.
