The discussion point was if the slight whiff was Cork or just a feature of the 2004 vintage. In my mind there was no doubt - there was a very slight hint of cork which distracted the nose but did not affect the taste. Compared to the earlier bottle tried the was more Down to earth - a good solid wine with a good robust body and very good sweetness.

At opening it is all geranium and green matter, with a very harsh finish. No point to drink, and should go in the sink at this point. Next day the green part on the nose disappear, giving more compost and earthy nose, but not much on the palate.

Brown on the rim, rather evolved colour. Ripe flavour (more than expected for 2004) without heaviness or any cooked character. Lacks complexity though, warm, cuddly, drink now.
Cork. 13.5%

A great wine and a testament to that 2004 is undervalued or misunderstoid.
This was ethereal, airy and on a completely surprising level for this cuvee.
Perfect combination of fleshiness, sweetness and complexity making this irreelt enjoyable.
