The last of four bottles purchased on release and the best one yet. Good freshness, med+ body, complex, long and elegant. Thanks to enough freshness, this really danced on the palate. A joy, with or without food. 14,0% abv. Should continue to drink at a high level for several more years. highly recommended

Powerful nose of citrus oil, smoky reduction, almond and nutty notes, with slate and mineral influences to the finish. Full bodied and unctuous, but with zest. This has plenty left in the tank. 93+

My favourite Kumeu River so far. Very concentrated lemon curd with waves of nutty toasty almonds flavours through the finish. Great stuff indeed. Drink now.

Drinkable and correct, but no fireworks. Minerally and unmistakably chardonnay but this lacks the easy-going fruitiness and charm of the Coddington. Need to try again tomorrow. I've been surprised so many times by Chards on day 2.

Touch of reduction but OK! What a thrilling wine. So lovely - creamy and citrusy, vanilla, jasmine, honeysuckle. Super.
