  • 3rd of 6 bottles purchased and this one drank very different than the first 2 which had lots of fresh, bright, juicy red cherry flavors while this one had a strong sour cherry palate. Hard to understand the reason when this happens, is it this particular bottle, is this wine going through an awkward phase, is it my palate, or some combination. Anyone else have this kind of experience?

  • Nice Brunello. Needed 2+ hours in the decanter in my opinion, and would benefit from more time in the cellar.

On the elegant side. Nose is quite sweet. Red and purple fruit (cherry, plum). Some vanilla and cinnamon spice. Mocha spiced espresso. Bitter Tuscan herbs.

Good length and acid, tannins are relatively smooth, but are still medium to medium plus.

  • Garnet red. Bone dry, acid is medium high, tannins ripe, fine and integrated, alcohol medium, finish is long.

Aromas, bright red cherries, raspberries, tobacco, leather.
On the palate, leather, oak, vanilla, cherries, currants.

    Subjective notes, beautiful wine.

  • Medium ruby red with pink rim and light orange tint. Sour cherry, raspberry, strawberry, honeycomb, thyme, sage, rose petals and toasted barrel. Medium-high acidity, medium-high tannin. Classic, austere Tuscany red wine. Precise and layered. Long white peppery finish.

I let it breathe in bottle for an hour without decanting, and it was ready to drink. Tannin was still on the high side, but complemented well with food.

    Plenty of aging potential.

  • Drank this over two nights; the first glass was via Coravin and was incredibly underwhelming and tight—glass decant over an hour or so. The second night, however, opened the bottle and bottle decanted over 3 hours. This was beautiful—hint of an orange rim with red cherries, a balanced spice, and rose water on the palate. Needs much more time but a beautiful wine that shows its potential. 92 points.
