An intro tasting to Spain's classic wine regions of Navarra/Rioja, Ribera-del-Duero & priorat. Mostly young wines of medium-entry level.
nothing to do with the tasting itself
The first Riscal was a bit corky. Second was better.
An enjoyable evening. The 1964 Faustino-I was a great surprise. That's all. 2005 & 2006 vintages in Rioja & Ribera are not great ones.
2008 Hogue Cellars Gewürztraminer 88 Points

light amber color; lively fresh aroma; pleasant in taste; smooth.
