Introduction

Our fellow DCWINO, Trip and his lovely wife Leah have decided to move down to Chapel hill, near their alma mater. We are really sad to see them go as Trip has been the great organizer in many of our wine dinners. The dinner was held at Cities, our fellow single DCWINO Doug Damron’s playground.

The dinner was surreal and psychedelic as the place was dark, acid jazz a bit too loud as we were right behind the DJ booth, wines were flowing fast and furious and the food almost inedible. The fried shrimp wontons was soggy and tasteless, the crab cakes made with blue crab leg meat and the fillets so leathery almost all of us had to return. However being able to sit out after the dinner and smoke nice cigars while looking at attractive young ladies silhouette made up for the terrible meal. At the end, it was one of the most fun wine dinners I had in awhile.

I have not taken any TNs so this is my extremely brief impression. Most reds were served in mag, other than a few two fifth.

Flight 1 - Whites (5 Notes)

Flight 2 - Reds (17 Notes)
