Mint chocolate chip ice cream on the nose. "Last Chance" nailed it in his/her note below. Light to medium bodied with medium acidity. Dark raspberry fruit, milk chocolate and mint. Interesting but strange. (my 7th, group's 4th)

Pretty, lifted nose of sweet raspberry and clove. Light to medium bodied with medium acidity. Mix of tart and sweet raspberry fruit. Young, tart and tasty. Outlier in the flight, wasn't surprised it was the youngest. (my 4th, group's 1st)

Dark fruit, forest floor, a touch musty. The mustiness didn't fade over a couple of hours so I think it could have been ever-so-slightly corked. Medium to full bodied with medium acidity. Blackberry, leather and potting soil. Medium, drying tannins. Many years of life left. (my 5th, group's 2nd)

  • 1988 Domaine Tempier Bandol Cuvée Spéciale Cabassaou Flawed

    France, Provence, Bandol

Funky, savory nose of smoked meat and soy. Earthy palate. Can't identify a specific flaw but this wasn't pleasurable in the least. (my 8th, group's 7th)

Sweet and smoky nose, blackberries and cassis. Medium bodied with medium acidity. Dark raspberry and blackberry. The fruit tastes pretty fresh and is accompanied by nice acidity and light to medium tannins. Lovely. (my 1st, group's 6th)
