Golden colour. Toast, mandarin, vanilla and spice. Touch dilute on the back palate but otherwise the balance is nice. Honeyed fruit and has good acid too. Drink now.

Pineapple, lemon and vanilla. Doesn't explode on the palate, but it is beautifully refined and has lovely balance. Acidity is still lively and helps to push this along. In great condition and drinking really well.
France, Loire Valley, Anjou-Saumur, Savennières-Coulée de Serrant
Complex aromas of orange peel, apricot, spice, apple, beeswax and lemon. Fantastic on the palate, the acidity is bright and compliments a deep core of fruit. Excellent length.
Orange peel and marmalade aromas. Really nice acidity, the fruit has dropped away and there is only a little sweetness left but it still has pleasure to give.
Asphalt, redcurrant, graphite and violet. Alcohol heat shows through a bit and there is biting tannins. Medium length. Feel like this is in a really awkward spot but I also thought that about a previous bottle that was the same 3 years back.

Earth, plums and cherry aromas. Tannins are powerful but there is good fruit density to counter. This definitely needs to be given some time to settle.

In a much better spot than the Shiraz Mataro right now. Floral, raspberry tar, and spices on the nose. Plenty of fruit concentration and depth to that fruit. Good length and fine structure. Will age well but should provide pleasure in its youth as well.
Sweet vanilla oak, coffee, earth, floral and minerality. The palate is nice but it does dip away a little towards the middle and the acidity is firm which I don't mind with the fruit richness but others may.
Australia, South Australia, Fleurieu, McLaren Vale
Huge resin oak, coffee and vanilla. The palate is bold but I don't feel like it has the structure to hold up. This is a wine that is either in an awkward place now or forever.

Green apple, mineral salinity and lemon. Nice fruit sweetness to the palate, good finesse and I like the balance. Interesting.

Earthy, yeast and aldehyde. Nice cut and drive on the palate, it is savoury and has some interest, though it didn't deliver a great deal of pleasure.

Spice, stalk and some funk. Palate is clean though, with nice red fruit and plenty of tannin structure provided. Juicy and approachable already.

Coconut, honey, smoke and mango on the nose. Beautiful acidity against the strong sweetness and the fruit weight. Has depth and length. Super wine.
