Pretty ruby color. Nice violets and delicate red fruits on the nose. Continues he pretty theme on the palate with blackberries. Nice mouthfeel, and an excellent quaffer.

Young wine nose, with mostly rasberries. Decent fruit, but angular, and slightly bitter on the finish.

Bitter. Maybe a little chocolate, but tart, with an unpleasant finish. Mid 70's.

Didn't expect this wine to show as well as it did. Great fruit, this must have been extremely ripe a couple of years ago. Some spice, with a ouch of mint.Light tannins. Very enjoyable.

While this wine was mature, there was still elements of that gorgeous full fruit of Jaffurs offerings. The acid was coming through a but much at this point. It's lost some of its stuffing. I found it a little more enjoyable then most of the people. 82-84

Huge gorgeous nose. Great fruit, with that hint of eucalyptus. Fairly soft tannins. I really love this wine, and this vintage is not a disapointment. 90+

Rich, huge, and concentrated. I kept looking to find whole blackberries in my glass. If you like this style, then this wine is one of the better ones for the price. 87-88

This is another huge concentrated monster. On casual tasting, I couldn't see much difference between this and the cheaper cuvee.

This wine is completely different then the others. None of that super extraction. There's quite a bit of chalkiness and as time goes by, it just gets funkier. The fruit isn't the focus of this wine, which is surprising. Instead, the funk continues, along with some cool mint. At times it almost seems a touch underripe, which at 14.6, seems inlikely. For the most part, I reall like this wine, but then some tastes aren't as enjoyable. I found this the most interesting JC Cellars wine, mostly b/c it wasn't hitting me over the head. 89-90

Cool mint nose. Rickly extracted, but there is more to this wine then the cuvees. This has some charcter, and more complexity. Either way, I'd want to give it a couple of years to let the fruit give everything else a chance to show their presence more. 90+

2005 Jeff Cohn Cellars Marsanne Preston Vineyard 87 Points

Peaches, and funky minerality on the nose.Medium bodied, with some glyceral qualities along with a little heat on the finish. I would have guessed this even highe then the signifigant 14.5 alcohol level listed.Kind of tropical apricot fruit. Nice wine, but the price is a bit forbidding. 86-88

Big lovely peach nose. Medium bodied, with what seemed like a little steminess. Or maybe that's the dried flower thing I'm supposed to get from Viogner. Still, all in all, a nice over priced wine. 87+
