We knew the theme, but all wines were tasted blind.
I made some notes, but this wine is far past its peak. In the bouquet rust, celery and old age chocolate. Same on the palate. Firm old age acidity and melted tannin. Far past its peak and not a pleasure anymore. No score.

In the bouquet minerals, chocolate, bacon, black olives and herbs and spices. On the palate a lot of minerals as well, firm acidity and sticky tannin. Clearly Northern Rhone Syrah and special. Very early maturity now. Will improve with some more ageing. Around 2019? 90 – 92 for now.

Some chocolate, red berries, herbs and autumn forest in the bouquet. Same on the palate, red fruits like red currants and cherries as well. Firm acidity and soft tannin. The wine is quite mature but not over the top yet. Probably wise to drink it soon.

2012 Domaine du Tunnel (Stéphane Robert) St. Péray Cuvée Prestige 89 Points
France, Rhône, Northern Rhône, St. Péray
In the bouquet flowers and white fruits. On the palate (PnP) at first not so very expressive, but there are peach and pear as well as soft yellow fruits, mild acidity and a bit fat. There is some oak as well. Ready now when given some air time, or wait another two years. Very good wine.

1999 Domaine de Vallouit Hermitage 87 Points
France, Rhône, Northern Rhône, Hermitage
The bouquet shows spiciness and red berry fruits as well as some minerals. Same on the palate, some blood and metal, firm acidity and still sticky tannin. Not the most refined wine in this stage. Might improve a bit with a few more years of ageing. 87+ for tonight.
