Out of magnum: Amazing!! Dense, porcini, dried meat with herbs, super dense and nice tannin structure. This is stunning!

Out of magnum: Lots of people rated this even higher than the Gruaud. This was incredibly elegant, walnuts, stable notes. Beautiful but a bit on the light side for a 1945 for my taste

Out of magnum: Great producer, great year, bad wine: aggressive nose, extreme acidity. Apparently this was not just a bottle issue, but the wine is that way. Avoid!

Out of magnum: a terrible vintage and unfortunately it showed. The wine was not flawed, just dead!
