Flight 3 - Wittmann (2 Notes)

What a beautiful flight and great to see, that the village wine can age almost as good as the Grand Cru!

  • 2008 Wittmann Westhofener Riesling Trocken 91 Points

    Germany, Rheinhessen

    Glass: Gabriel Universal Standard
*** All wines tasted blind, bottles opened a few hours before serving, served decanted ***
Clear, golden yellow color. Dry, but a bit sweeter than the Morstein. Medium+ acidity. Ripe yellow fruit, fine mineral notes. Not as focused and energetic as the Morstein, a bit riper and broader, but with a medium+ length and still some potential left. I was very positively surprised to see this is the “village” from Wittmann. 91, very good PQR
