Flight 1 - I learned to buy wine very carefully after this tasting. (7 Notes)
Everyone was upset but I really learned from this poor showing of Pichon Lalande.
Closing
The power of the 1985 vintage saved the number 1 wine tonight.

Tasting of 7 Chateau Pichon Lalande. Bright red color in the glass, rich, candy, fruit nose, same in the mouth but richer fruit, slightly forward fruit, fantastic cabernet finish that lingers softly on the palate and aftertaste. My #1 and Group tied #2.

Tasting of 7 Chateau Pichon Lalande. Hint of orange color and sediment in the glass, cedar and leather are prevalent with a fruity cabernet nose that has hints of asparagus and big fruit on the mouth that has reached its peak, so well balanced that it will easily go 5 to 7 years, great finish and aftertaste. Group #1 and My #2.
