This is a lightweight and energetic champagne. Lemon and chaulk stand out. Nice to drink, maybe price appropriate or slightly overpriced. I expected more from the 2008 vintage.
1 hour decant. This is an oxidative style. There is a lot of acid and actually some tannic-like grip. Beeswax and lemon oil. I like this kind of style, although the wine wasn't that compelling.

This wine seemed big and balanced at the same time. To me, it has a fairly typical Oregon chardonnay profile, similar to Evenstad reserve, just slightly less compelling.

30 minute decant. This wine seemed shut down compared to the way it smelled when I decanted it. Dried herbs, earth, cherry. Well-integrated and charming but not a head-turner.

Another great bottle. This wine was so friendly and appealling. Along with ripe fruit, it was very floral. There was a mix of spice, earth and relaxed tannin. This is a head-turning Brunello.

This wine is drinking fairly young. I suspect it needs a little time yet to suck up the oak and gain complexity. It was still no slouch tonight, red bright fruit, spice, red flowers and underbrush.
