Introduction

Anton, Jen, Anne, and Ben came over for an evening celebrating the end of the Appleton Farms CSA harvest and for some interesting wines. I finally broke out the Talbott which Ben and I originally tried over a year ago at the Skinner Auction Reception. Anton and Jen had never met Anne before and were pleasantly surprised by her entertaining irreverance.

Light golden color. Nose of apple, lychee, trace sherry. Similar palate with minerality, some hazelnut. Good acidity, but somehow missing something. I think the fruit was a bit faded.

Closing

As usual, it was a great night of cheer. After downing a Rock Star energy drink, I even had enough stamina to do all the dishes and 30 glasses before going to bed. It is always nice to not have to wake up to a blitzkreiged kitchen.
