The Dallas 2nd Wednesday Group got together this month on Tuesday (go figure) to sample a grab bag of White and Red Burgundies. Only restriction was they had to be Premier or Grand Cru only.
Now onto the show...
NV Krug Champagne Brut Grande Cuvée 92 Points

New label. Purchased this batch in January 2008 and allowed to it to sit in the cellar for almost 18 months. I think these MV Krug benefit a bit with some age. Yellow color in the glass. clear hue throughout with light beading. Nose of baked apples, pears and a dash of ginger. Flavors of lemon zest, pineapple and a dash of pear over the medium finish. Bright acidity, medium body. Drink over the shorter term.
