Sunday Lunch: First bottle was browning and oxidized. Second bottle spectacular. Several shades of complexion lighter with a pungent smack of maturing white Burgundy funk. But the fruit still has a bright youthful freshness to it and more precision and angular detail than I normally associate with Meursault (even Perrières).

Opened and served immediately. Dark yellow color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Nose of graham crackers, allspice, florals and a mix of brown spices. Flavors of pears with a dash of lemon and some underlying minerals. Medium acidity and body. Drink now.
