sweet fruit on the nose, but lots of tartness on the initial palate. not much there at all on the midpalate, with some sweet fruit on the finish. the nose is beautiful, like a 92... but the palate disappoints.

pretty sweetness on nose, lighter than the Dujac Charmes tasted just before. earthy on the palate, with puckering tannins that draw you in for another sip. retasted at the end of the tasting, still really nice. not quite as good as the dujac, but not by much - this is a better value.
Slate and sweet red fruit on the perfumed nose. Ruby color; a bit of dirt on the palate along with subtle, slightly aged-tasting sweet fruit; moderately tannic finish. Nice, but not a life-changing example of a First-Growth. To be fair, had this at a tasting, and this style of wine needs an extended leisurely tasting to show its best. It did have a refined sense that hinted at more.
oxidative on nose - very port-like and even a hint of apricot / peach, very rare for me in a red. a lot going on in the full palate - very tannic though.
nose slightly muted, oak apparent, with sweet, stewed cherry. palate: concentrated, spicy but primary, not complex. a bit similar to Faust but not as enjoyable. potential here though.
Nice nose, slightly floral, herby with oak - in a way that reminds me of a Copain Garys' syrah I had recently. Balanced and flavorful on palate. Quite nice.

Beautiful sweet fruit on the nose; same on palate, plus good balancing acidity.
