3/29/2024 - timewithwine Likes this wine: NRThe color is faint peach. The nose is both watermelon and strawberry with some mint, particularly on the finish. We enjoyed this as part of Ridge’s virtual tasting. Light, crisp and quaffable once the weather warms up. Well made and would select it again. No detailed notes. 36% Grenache, 15% Mourvedre, 26% Zinfandel, 9% Counoise, 14% Cinsaut, 9% 12.8% alc. With shrimp spread. 03.29.24. Recommended. |

6/29/2023 - MC2 Wines Likes this wine: NRA Ridge Tahoe Weekend; 6/29/2023-7/2/2023 (Edgewood Resort): Welcome to a weekend with Ridge bottle. This is a grape that I’ve always quite liked and I have enjoyed many of their versions of it as well. It’s more of a mouthful to it. Round and with some nice stone fruit. Easy sipper when we had some downtime during the day. |

4/18/2024 - wchrisw wrote: NRSimple and uneventful. For $35 this is a joke. Glad I didn’t pay that. You can do better at Trader Joe’s or Costco for $15 for a light and crushable summer wine. Maybe this is too old already. A mindless white. I do not recommend. |

3/13/2024 - Cmh3810 Likes this wine: NRThe minerality here is a great touch, cool and refreshing, a nice drinker…but I can't really justify buying this again when I can get the same satisfaction from a $10-15 Albariño or sauv blanc. That’s not to disparage the quality of the wine at all - it’s very well made like all ridge offerings. Maybe I just don’t “get” it/white wines/vermentino in particular, but that’s ok too! |

7/1/2023 - MC2 Wines Likes this wine: NRA Ridge Tahoe Weekend; 6/29/2023-7/2/2023 (Edgewood Resort): Very light and easy starter wine. I’ve seen this style before with some whites from Argentina where it’s clearly made for warmer weather. Very much reminds me of drinking water from a stream out in the woods with a bunch of stones. Very refreshing. Good minerality. Very light and easy. |

The palate adds more secondary flavors - vanilla and cedar - from the oak; but it keeps all the white flowers from the nose. Not a ton of fruit here, maybe a little cotton candy on the palate. But still somehow primary due to all the white flowers. The finish is especially oak driven, you get a lot of vanilla, though it's a tad tight at this young age. Texturally plump and chubby. |

5/2/2024 - Martin Redmond Likes this wine: 89 pointsMedium dark ruby color with enticing strawberry, black raspberry, dried herb and white pepper aromas. On the palate, it approaches medium-bodied with bright acidity and well integrated supple tannins with flavors that echo it's aromas. Med finish. A very good food friendly chillable red. Wish I had more! |

6/30/2023 - MC2 Wines Likes this wine: NRA Ridge Tahoe Weekend; 6/29/2023-7/2/2023 (Edgewood Resort): Found myself quite enjoying this for a wine which was well matched to time and place. Best described as the gamay of Northern California. Did with half carbonic maceration and half standard. Enjoyable and just very quaffable. Given we were out boating on Lake Tahoe this was kind of the perfect wine for the occasion. |

6/29/2023 - MC2 Wines Likes this wine: NRA Ridge Tahoe Weekend; 6/29/2023-7/2/2023 (Edgewood Resort): It always amazes me the breadth of wine that Ridge is able to create with the quality that they also have. It’s quite impressive. I think maybe vaguely I knew there’s a Rose but it is usually released in March which means it’s usually not around when we do our winter visit. This is slightly higher production and more available than previous bottling of wines were. Made from Grenache, Cinsault, Zin and a variety that I am forgetting. Very classic light Provence-style rose. Reminds me of drinking water lightly soaked in petals with a hint of that freshness from a stone or similar. It’s very classic and a nice way to start the weekend. |

2/15/2024 - oldwines Likes this wine: 92 pointsTasted at Wine & Spirits Top 100 NYC. Aged in 22% new American oak, 14.8% ABV. Fruit forward but with bright acidity and a slate-like mineral undertone. Mostly boysenberry and blackberry to me. Some dark florals/violets as well. Needs time in a cool cellar. Probably best between its 5th and 15th birthdays. |
