12/5/2023 - Clemster wrote: NRIn the glass, the Fleurie Cuvée Tradition has a softly glowing, saturated ruby color, with flashes of purple blue. In a large, well-shaped glass, aromas of crunchy black and red fruit, including wild blueberries, red currants, mulberries, and rhubarb move in and out of the foreground, sometimes alternating with more fleeting suggestions of tamarind, charcouterie, and freshly turned loamy soil. On the palate, the wine is supple and generous, like a ripe vintage Côte de Beaune Pinot Noir, with mineral-laced red and black fruit flavors that echo the nose, adding orange pekoe tea, black truffles, and just-rained-on wet granite as the wine evolves in the glass. Then vibrant fresh berry acids and ripe fine-grained tannins punctuate the long mineral-saturated finish. Drink now–2030 |

2/27/2023 - Vintage82 wrote: NRI had to rewrite the note on this wine. Bottle was perfectly stored since purchase on release. Pnp it was showing fully mature with wild lingonberry jam and dry cured game on the nose. First hour open it seemed to be starting to crack at the edges though and show a little sour and past its best. |

7/31/2022 - classicalspin Likes this wine: 89 pointsVery good, concentrated bright sweet cherry flavors and lavender enlivened by vibrant acidity. More than ample structure, long finish and pleasant aftertaste. I think this needs more time to fully integrate. PnP, good out of the bottle, not quite as good 2nd day. Better the third with no oxidation. |

2/9/2021 - themuscle Likes this wine: 92 pointsSix months after drinking our first bottle, we are not at all sad to have bought half a case more. Wine holds together extremely well for first hour, but then starts to lose some structure. Fruit well balanced by tannins (though they get the better of the fruit with time). Well extracted and delicious. |

1/24/2021 - tadams66 Likes this wine: 91 pointsGreat wine. Full of bright fruit (strawberries and cherries) with a little earth. Nice complexity and finish. I did not decant this but had over several hours. It was nice with just a little air and kept for hours. |

1/21/2021 - Mark1npt Likes this wine: 88 pointsMy last bottle of a long ago Wineaccess purchase.....over the years I've given away a lot of these but kept one for some aging. It's showing some age as the color is bricking a bit in the glass, all the way through but mostly as expected at the edges. It's clean, with nice remaining acidity. The fruit is most assuredly red, light red. Cherry and strawberry with a certain minimally tart, slightly sour cherry ending which is nice but kinda short at the same time. This can go longer but the fruit will only weaken further for my tastes. Do you find this review helpful? Yes - No / Comments (2) |

7/3/2020 - JohnTelford Likes this wine: 92 pointsI held back 6 from the original case, wanting to follow the evolution. Surprised how young this looks in the glass. Beautiful pink rim moving to clear. The nose is red ripe cherries, spice, granite, ripe strawberries, young budding roses, mushroom dirt. On the palate barely ripe cherries, dry stone, very ripe strawberries. Med acid, med++ finish. Silky on the palate, very clean. This is a beautiful wine. Again the finish is so refreshing and cleansing. Pairing has got to be a perfect roast chicken or quail. I think I will target peak for this in 2/3 years if i can stay disciplined (I am not sure it will be better but just different! I wish I could go back in time and buy more. I should add I was not that enamored with this wine when it was young (the first six)...I found it slightly cloying. |

3/6/2020 - Rich S Likes this wine: 90 pointsPopped and poured. Medium bright ruby color. Nose of bright red cherry and raspberry with a touch of tart cranberry and earth. Similar flavors on the palate. Medium+ acid, medium tannin and body. Juicy mouthfeel. Not overly complex but hits all the right bojo notes. Excellent QPR. |

1/4/2020 - No bs Likes this wine: 94 pointsThis wine has been drinking spectacular the last three bottles I’ve had recently. It’s at a point where I don’t think it can improve, so why wait? More concentrated than it’s peers but still perfectly balanced is how I would describe it. Delicious like few other wines and why I seek out the best Beaujolais but this one is special. |

6/17/2019 - guribh Likes this wine: 90 pointsCrazy value at <$15 from WTSO. Big-bodied for a Fleurie, yet not over the top. Drak, brooding with ripe (yet, importantly, not over-ripe) cherries and a hint of clove or similar. Fantastic wine with elevated Bistro fair. Can't wait for either the 2016 offering and/or a Prestige Cuvee from this house ("Tradition" usually indicates workhorse level...). |
