Soaring red-berry nose introduces an elegant palate of crunchy red berries and serious minerals. Although has some jagged edges from the tannins, acids, and minerals, the texture is so open knit and airy, and the fruit is so pure, intense, and concentrated, that the sharp bits serve only to make the wine more interesting. Not terribly complex, but everything is absolutely in the right place. One of the best villages burgs in recent memory. I'm already searching for more. |

This is on the light side of medium bodied and is an adolescent--just showing hints of suave maturity, but still with some unruly (but enticing) angles. This is quite simple, and to a gobs-of-fruit lover might be a little thin, but to me it's beautiful villages. High drinkability factor, and a perfect restaurant Burgundy. Drinking quite well now, this should improve for another few years. I'm sure this will give pleasure for at least another decade and probably more. |
