Un vin marqué par l'élevage, avec un aspect presque mielleux. Il se montre pour l'instant peu expressif tant au nez qu'en bouche. Vu son acidité déficiente je ne lui donne pas une expérance de vie très grande. Charmant sur certains aspects mais décevant pour le prix.

I love the name of this château. It normally does the job too!
The white, whose first vintage was 1995, is unusual for the dominance of Sémillon (65%) over Sauvignon Blanc (35%), a bit like Haut Brion Blanc and Laville Haut Brion. Sadly the terroir is not the same.
2 hectares only were planted.
Colour: medium gold, bright, clear.
Nose: very full, quite fresh, very ripe apricots, then notes of caramel, reminds me of the dry Sauternes/Barsac in its opulence.
Taste: Medium body, smooth, somewhat lacking in structure, blousy, ripe apricots, short finish, dry with strong apricot notes.
Overall, enjoyable but strikes me as needing to be drunk. The Sémillon clearly dominates. Perhaps not a well stored bottle?

Charmé par le fait que je ne bois que très peu de blancs bordelais. Première impression très agréable. Nez de poire, goyave, citron et herbes sèches. La bouche est vive, minérale et saline puis devient plus rond et riche sur sa longueur. Ça va bénéficier de 2 ans+ de repos. J'achėterais à nouveau.

A private lunch (Restaurant Yamazato *, Amsterdam, NL): A limited production from only 2 hectares on this 90 hectare domain, planted with 60% Sémillon and 40% Sauvignon Blanc, aged for 12 months in barrique. Not nearly as oaky as the 2011 and with a better balance with the fruit and acidity, has a lovely airy feel to it, with a silky texture, almost saline minerality and real harmony, discreet flavours but good length.

Deep golden-yellow color. Immediately after pulling the cork it was clear that this will be another Amontillado-style experience. Yes, wine was oxydized, however I and especially my wife enjoyed this wine.

The wine looks medium Yellow gold colored. It smells like honigmelone, lily, candied fruit, cellar.
It tastes like grapefruit, lime, full bodied,dry Sherry, bitter Almonds.
The wine finishes Long.
It was an perfect apperitiv, i liked it and already drank 8 Bottles in the last 6 Years.

The Union Des Grand Crus Tasting of the 2012 Vintage-SF. Nose of raspberry, touch of cigar box, and dusty earth, more of the same on the palate, slightly disappointing compared to the nose, touch simple, medium body, and medium/long finish.

A slightly unusual white bordeaux. On the nose there are sweet fruits: lychees, maybe a hint of mandarin oranges. On the palate a stlightly odd mixture of off-dry fruit fading to a slightly minerally acidic bite and a slightly cloying finish.

Whilst not unpleasant, for me this is a rather unstructured wine - like a blend of two wine each of which might be rather nice on their own but which don't really seem to meld together well.

And, I guess paying a premium for the name, this is really not great value at ~US$26.

un vin qui se développe bien. En relisant ma note précédente, je constate que les arômes commencent à se défénir.
Fleurs blanches, miel, vanille.

Very good light colour with some greenish reflexes. Nose: some honey scents, delicate flowers with some tartness. Not very deep. Taste: rather balanced and soft, some roundness from oak, limited acidity. Very nice with lindenflowers aromas.

A grassy and light nose with a good hit of melon.
A really crisp finish. Very bright and light. It has a shocking affect on the tongue. Really sturdy, with a clean finish. Snappy and satisfying. One of the better whites I can honestly say I've had. Very lip-smacking and juicy without feeling like it's compensating for anything.
