PNP. Light golden yellow color. Lemon, honeysuckle, sage, and subtle spearmint. Smooth, dry, slightly glossy, medium bodied palate. Fine, center of the tongue acidity.

This is a simple, easy drinker. It’s more herbal on the palate than the nose. Reasonable linger to the acidity.

crisp, fresh and with lots of verbena notes. Perfect for a hot summer evening even if there's perhaps not the most deep or complex wine that will make you go wow.

Blind – and I was never in Burgundy. Pronounced mint and fennel on the nose, intriguing, much more balanced in the mouth, long, even some complexity in the finish.

A little past its peak unfortunately, oxidation is noticable. With some decanting the true potential showed. Nevertheless still a very good wine. Dark yellow, lemon like colour. On the nose citrus and apple. On the palate citrus, vanilla, hint of minerality and a round, mouth-filling medium/long finish. If you have any bottles stored, start drinking up!

This is 2014 vintage.
Appearance: pale lemon.
Nose: medium plus intensity; aromas of honey, lanolin, beeswax, perfumed white rose, white nectarine, cooked jasmine rice, saline. It’s developing.
Palate: dry, high acidity, medium alcohol, medium body, medium plus flavour intensity, long finish with peach skin and marzipan flavours.
It’s a very good wine. Can drink now, has potential for further ageing.
It’s been a while since the last time I had Chablis GC. This bottle is certainly a great example with lovely aged notes. The beeswax and honey are running towards me upon opening. Then delicious stone fruits and cooked rice carries along. Swirl the glass, the perfumed white floral notes jump out the glass. Complex and ever changing! The piercing acidity is certainly singing as a Chablis but perfectly balanced with the fruits and the slightly creamy, oily texture. The finish is long and lingering with peach skin, oyster shell, savoury notes. Such an enjoyable wine!

Straw hay color and refined nose. Wine is in great shape, subtle hints of butter typical of Meursault and perfectly balanced. Hard to imagine this can get better from here but amazingly good compared to other 04 and 02s.

A bit reserved yellow fruit nose with notes of butter, aniseed, nuts and minerality.
Medium bodied dry palate with slight oiliness and steely acidity. Lime, lychee and yellow fruits with quite some oak (especially after warming up a bit). Honey and minerality.
Quite nice though not perfectly balanced at the moment. Oak needs to integrate and the aromas need to open up.

Showing riper and softer, the additional age having toned down the acids some and seeming to fill out the body. Still quite vibrant, and while richer still possessing plenty of tension. Honeyed but precise – very good showing. Drank well over several days.

Frankly this was gawd awful. Nose indistinctive. Palate feels murky as if grapes were not clean and even fully ripe. Purchased from Finnish wine monopoly Alko and drunk same day

Decanted for four hours.
Rather fruity on the nose with notes of carambola, pineapple and ripe banana. Also giving some creme brulée -like sugary notes, butter and nutty toastiness.
Dry and medium bodied on the palate with a somewhat greasy feel and balanced acidity. Ginger, butter and minerals before the decent length finish giving mushroomy earthiness and both spicy and nutty oak notes.
Although well decanted, the wine was changing quite a bit over the course of the dinner. Perhaps with more time it will settle down and get more relaxed. Anyway already a nice pairing with fried scallops, shiitake and whitefish in champagne sauce.

Nice white Burgundy but a bit too much barrel for now, needs some time. Actually closer to New World Chardonnay in the likes of Kumeu and others. Probably better from 2022.
