Very mature nose of mineral, white pepper, tobacco and red currant. Very elegant and seamless acidity. There is still a touch of greeness in the tannin profile that knocks this down a bit, but is well balanced with the layers of soy, chocolate, tobacco and creamy cedar flavors. I think this at its peak right now. I served this with a paella done on the BBQ which was a good match. |
