I held back 6 from the original case, wanting to follow the evolution. Surprised how young this looks in the glass. Beautiful pink rim moving to clear. The nose is red ripe cherries, spice, granite, ripe strawberries, young budding roses, mushroom dirt. On the palate barely ripe cherries, dry stone, very ripe strawberries. Med acid, med++ finish. Silky on the palate, very clean. This is a beautiful wine. Again the finish is so refreshing and cleansing. Pairing has got to be a perfect roast chicken or quail. I think I will target peak for this in 2/3 years if i can stay disciplined (I am not sure it will be better but just different! I wish I could go back in time and buy more. I should add I was not that enamored with this wine when it was young (the first six)...I found it slightly cloying.

This wine has been drinking spectacular the last three bottles I’ve had recently. It’s at a point where I don’t think it can improve, so why wait? More concentrated than it’s peers but still perfectly balanced is how I would describe it. Delicious like few other wines and why I seek out the best Beaujolais but this one is special.

Darker ruby red than most Beaujolais; floral and red fruit/berry aromas. Straight forward, clean flavors of red fruit, nice level of acidity. Clean and medium aftertaste

Enjoyed the bottle. Fruit and acid nicely balanced. Light in color, ok bouquet; drank with steak, we like cru Beaujolais's, will drink again, I think 2014 is a decent year for Beaujolais.

Very nice fruit, cherry and bright berries. Ha a short finish with nice spice. The acidity was high so you need to pair it appropriately. I think I will hold my other one for a few years.

3 years after acquisition it has evolved into a better wine than early on..expressive gamay fruit and spice with juicy acidity makes for a nice sipper.... I do not believe the wineaccess hype that this was to be laid down for 15 yrs blah blah... Decent fleurie... Enjoyable...nothing more

Tasted at a Burgundy tasting, this wine was among more than 40 2012-2015 wines presented at the Pluckemin Inn in Nj. This in my mind was the most interesting of those presented. With an amazing QPR this wine has a beet juice red color. The nose is full of floral notes especially violets. On the palate there is a lot of ripe plum and cranberry with a touch of mint on the finish. There is a nice texture and velvety feel about it yet there is some lively acidity and some backbone that will let this evolve well for 5-7 years I think. A great buy that is very versatile at a great price. Can be an aperitif or good with spicy or savory foods and at the price could even be used for some interesting cooking like a red wine reduction to go with a turkey dinner with all the fixings.

There are not many "serious" $20 bottles of Fleurie; this is one. Stored at 56 since release, it needed a good hour to wake up and show its stuff: wintergreen, wild strawberries, garrigue in the nose. Well balanced ripe gamay fruit with really stellar acidity, presents a little camphor like through the finish. This was still vibrant the next day, so I expect this will drink well through 2022. Held up beautifully to slow cooker lamb neck stew with parsnip, carrot, and fennel, added a half cup of this (at $20 a bottle, why not) to the miso/lamb stock braising liquid. Yum!

Crazy value at <$15 from WTSO. Big-bodied for a Fleurie, yet not over the top. Drak, brooding with ripe (yet, importantly, not over-ripe) cherries and a hint of clove or similar. Fantastic wine with elevated Bistro fair. Can't wait for either the 2016 offering and/or a Prestige Cuvee from this house ("Tradition" usually indicates workhorse level...).

Theme was Poor Man’s Burgundy (Burgundy under $40, and included Beaujolais), blind. This was the only Beaujolais of the night, and one taster nailed it. The others did not. This is our fourth of six bottles, and as good as it is drinking, it could use more time. It was quite dark in color, no one got the age. WineAccess, where I got the wine, says some Burgundy producers are beginning to acquire property in the Cote du Py, and if true, looks like a good decision. This was really good. Good enough that the group might actually consider a heretofore unprecedented Beaujolais tasting.

Day 2 (actually 3, it sat all day yesterday, with a pumped stopper): even better, smoother. Floral nose. Up at least a point. Lots of dark fruit, good structure.

Decanted for a couple of hours. Bright purple color, really pretty. Pepper and spice on the nose at first, some dark fruit as it evolved. Prunes, tart cherries and white pepper on the palate. More dark fruit and complexity as it took on air in the glass. A lot of grip - I've never used that word before in a note, but this wine coated and held the palate. Very complex, with a medium-long finish. Paired with a spicy dish. The food was somewhat of a disappointment, we need to work on the spices. The wine was terrific, made up for the food let-down.

Drank with BLTs for dinner.

An explosion. Highly extracted and delicious. Sweet fruit balanced by tannin (that was round or sharp depending on the glass). After about an hour open, and while we were eating the tomatoes, the wine developed a pronounced carbonic feel. In general, bigger in most every way than the Morgon Côte Py; here, V finds the fruit balancing the tannins better.

C adds: intensely flavorful. On first sniff, I got something like leather; later, bright-dark fruits and bits of orange peel/zest and a hint of something nutty. I really really liked this one. Definitely want to drink again.

This is a delicious bottle of Beaujolais, no further questions.

Flavors linger long on the palate, what more do we want. Not the biggest and most powerful Morgon ... in a good way!

Deep garnet, delicious aeromatics, fruit, fruit, fruit now the acid coming in. Wait a little while and the (significant) tannins layer in and take over. YUM !!

A classic example. Day 2, still solid, high marks for this bottle.

Not as vibrant as previous bottles I have had, this one needed time to wake up. Was better the next day. Still a lovely wine. Will be interesting to see if it's already on the decline or just entering a bit of an awkward phase.

Popped and poured. Medium bright ruby color. Nose of bright red cherry and raspberry with a touch of tart cranberry and earth. Similar flavors on the palate. Medium+ acid, medium tannin and body. Juicy mouthfeel. Not overly complex but hits all the right bojo notes. Excellent QPR.
