2/11/2024 - Mallards wrote: 94 pointsA dream come true Rhône Red Blend. 65% Mourvèdre, 20% Grenache, 15% Syrah. My comments: Limited nose. Big dark fruits in the mouth. Snipes Mountain AVA which reminds me of CA’s Howell Mountain for its delivery of bigness to this wine. Will definitely take allocation and more in future offerings. Big, bold, well worth $45. Wifey comments: Red fruit with earthy base. Rhône grapes stand out. Deserving of a high rating. |

2/9/2024 - DrBad Likes this wine: 91 pointsAlmost Pinot Noir like, this is a good example of the versatility and variety of the Grenache grape. Light opacity with bright cherry red in color. Light body. Tangy cherry and strawberry, orange peel and spices. A nice red wine to go along with lighter meals like seafood, we enjoyed it with seared salmon. |

1/21/2024 - Quaffable Likes this wine: 91 pointsStill young for our taste, but pretty nice. Dark appearance with a full body, integrated tannins, nice longish finish. Rocks nose, but not overly funky. I should see if we can get more to keep for a few years. |

Note…it was better the second day, the stale taste was a bit less and the fruit and tannins emerged some. But still stale. |

12/30/2023 - Mallards wrote: 88 pointsWe are in the Rotie wine club and wanted to sit with this bottle and see if we should keep taking our allocation or exchange or lower our allocation. I am posting first my take, and then my wife’s. My take - very uncertain about a 100% Mourvèdre as a wine. Nose: Big dark fruits, cough syrup, dark olives. Original taste - Cough syrup, dark olives and blackberries. In subsequent glasses, the wine became gamey, spicy, big but not great depth. This is a unique stand alone offering. Would likely go with 1 of a 2 bottle allocation. Susan - Nose, dark fruits, bramble, earthy, very good overall nose. Likes the taste a lot. Not certain if allocation should be 1 or 2 bottles. |

It is pungent, savory, and succulent with well balanced tones of dark red cherries, licorice, violets, black raspberries, herbs, spices, olive paste, and some currant notes. The Full bodied feel is well balanced and plush with tart, medium+ acidity and silky, medium tannins. I'm consistently a fan of this wine and this vintage is no different. It shows off the ripeness of Washington while still clearly being a savory syrah. |

9/10/2023 - KeithAkers wrote: 91 pointsTasting at Rotie Cellars (SoDo, Seattle WA): With this wine, the smokey note is a benefit as it really plays into what I love from Mourvedre. There is a rich, meat quality to the nose along with licorice, black cherries, raspberries, violets, chocolate nibs, and savory herbs. The Full bodied feel is balanced and brawny with medium acidity and silky, medium tannins. This is a delicious Mourvedre and one that shows off why I am a fan of this grape in Washington. |

There is a delicious brightness to the red fruit as it fills the glass with red cherries, spice cake, raspberries, licorice, red currants, savory herbs, violets, and a touch of tobacco notes. The Full bodied feel is plush and refined with medium acidity and silky, medium+ tannins. This is flat out delicious. I would love to see where this goes with some age. It has all of the qualities right now and I'd imagine that 5+ years will take it up even more. |
