It’s been 5/6 months since the first bottle and I felt like trying another one tonight.
Double decanted, spent about 1h open and then 2h in the decanter before going back in the bottle.
3h later it is really sumptuous. A core of dark red fruit with some spice and a hint of olive tapenade.
Excellent balance between fruit , tannin and acidity.
It’s still primary as expected however the winemaking skills are evident. Loads of potential here and easily a wine that can age for another 10-15 years.
Extra point awarded since the previous tasting as everything is in the right place here

Medium garnet. Pronounced complex nose - cherry, strawberries, tar, rose petals, earth, mushroom. High acidity, medium+ chalky tannins that are very well integrated, high alcohol doesn’t stand out, long finish. This is outstanding and drinking very well. I did give this a long decant in a wide bowel - 5 hours and I expect that helped it to open, but it was great right from the start. Clearly no hurry to drink and may well develop further tertiary complexity, but this can absolutely be enjoyed now. Surprised by other reviews on the tannins - they are beautifully integrated and have a lovely texture.

A great vintage. It's at the earliest point that it should be drunk, this wine - a decade in. Very exciting indeed. Surprisingly dark and ruby-coloured. I would confuse it with a Southern Rhône in appearance. But on the nose the perfume is lofty and delicate - roses and pomegranates. Tannic and intense. Aggressive and demanding but starting to soften. Tremendous, terrific. The level of the wines today is so high it's hard to judge. But this is serious.

Very much like its sibling the Parafada, but it seems the volume here is turned up a notch.

Less elegant but of the same quality.
Preferred the Parafada because of the elegance.
Entering its drinking window.

3 hr decant, thanks to other contributors’’ comments. Primary nose notes quite sharp, but it was well integrated after we waited. Camphor, liquorice, menthol? - all back of tongue but good acidity on the palate. Really interesting and subtle flavour/ texture combinations, with good structure.

Medium ruby. Med plus aromas of cherry jam, sour cherry, cranberry juice, cassis. Dry, high acid, high alcohol, med plus velvety tannins, med finish. A lot of ripe fruits and candy characteristics that might come from carbonic. Not very complex and overripe for my liking. Alcohol is a bit too much too. Some bitterness on the palate. Drink now. Maybe off bottle?

Day 1, muted nose that opened after 30 minutes giving a little floral terracotta, ruby red colour with no significant signs of age. Fairly classic Barolo palate, a little shrill and high pitched but decent with food, mainly red fruit, really lovely fine and firm tannic structure. 90 points but no more.
Day 2 this now has loads of complexity in the nose! Heady and inviting. The palate has first spice (a touch of clove and cardamom?) and then depth where the fruit has turned darker- forest fruits and tar, rounder even smoother tannins with less prominence but still present. Probably 93 or 94 on this showing.
Hold or ensure it’s opened very early and given the chance to breathe slowly.

Medium garnet fading to a slight amber rim with only a tiny amount of sediment. On the nose this is somewhat quiet, though elegant and perhaps a touch somber, with aromas of dried red fruits, dried roses, worn leather, loamy earth and a touch of oak spice. Medium to full bodied on the palate, with medium+ acidity, a somewhat tight and compact texture for the vintage, and straightforward dried fruit and spice flavors. There's nothing wrong here, but there's also not much to get excited about.

체리, 라즈베리, 꽃, 발사믹,
높은 산미, 미디엄투 풀바디, 까끌하고 촘촘하지만 우아한 혀끝의 타닌, 좋은 구조감에 밸런스도 좋다.
마쏠리노 답게 살짝 짭짤한 미네랄리티
과실미가 너무 좋다.

Pure, yet savory, with a stony, mineral punch to the orange peel, strawberries and dried herbs. I love the clarity and the tautness on the palate, with elegant but gutsy flavors of minerals and fruit, together with firm tannins that show Barolo etherealness and power at the same time. Already approachable.

2010 Barolos at Terra Rossa with NLWTS (Terra Rossa, Upper Street): Dark ruby. Pretty dark fruited. Super youthful palate; coarse, burley tannins. Some black fruit and stewed red fruits. Feels nowhere near ready; all potential and not much pleasure at this stage. 90++

I found this to be richer, heavier than you would typically expect in a barolo, however the fruit and tannin structure was certainly there suggesting this needs more age in order to balance the fruit with the structure. Solid now - should improve in 5+ years. Wait.
