4/19/2024 - JCherniak Likes this wine: 91 pointsDark red with purple edges. Smooth and bold with some tanins in the front of the mouth. Mostly cocoa notes followed by tea. The finish is a bit spicy. (I'm in an airport lounge and it’s a bit warm, so likely affects the wine.) |

1/14/2024 - atbarbar Likes this wine: 95 pointsVery flamboyant fruit, cassis, some sticky sugar and plenty of acidity in support. Very nice and very drinkable. The wood is already very well integrated. I would not hold for more than 10 years. |

4/17/2024 - OmiyaDrinker wrote: 94 pointsDeep, ruby appearance. Medium + nose stacked with black fruit - black cherry, black plum, blackcurrant. Very complex nose with dried herbs, cinnamon, wood, smoke, leather, and a floral element. The nose is muted and brooding at this stage but you can smell the intensity. On the palate, high acid, full body, pronounced intensity, and high + grippy but elegant tannin. Borderline unctuous on the palate. Red and black fruits come through on the palate. Long finish. I could drink this now but know it would be a crime to do so. Magnificent. |

4/5/2024 - devraj Likes this wine: 93 pointsDark ruby purple with lightening around the edges. Classic aromas of dried prunes, black cherry, baking spice, leather and cedar. A very silky and restrained palate shows ripe, semisweet black/purple fruit leather, medium acidity, resolved tannins and a long mineral and spicy finish. |

4/14/2024 - Vino Me wrote: 96 pointsI brought a half bottle of this to Las Vegas to celebrate my nephew's 21st birthday. Decanted an hour before drinking at a restaurant. Parker's review of this wine was glowing saying the 2003 could stand "shoulder to shoulder" with the finest ever produced by Fladgate. Heavily sedimented. Blackish red color. Supple tannins and rather smooth. Notes of prunes, figs, molasses and sweet black fruits. Good concentration. No heat on the long soft finish. Fantastic Port. Drinking well now. 96 points. |

3/30/2024 - dcwino wrote: 96 pointsExpressive nose displaying concentrated red and black fruit, chocolate deep cherry, blackberry liqueur, dry fig, licorice, cinnamon, clove, leather and earth. Excellent concentration, layers upon layers of slightly dry red and black fruit, rich but harmonious, bright acidity, coarse mineral, fine tannins and a long ripe black fruit driven finish with a hint of clove at the end. Although youthful, it is starting to show a hint of maturity. Once again, Port and Sauternes represent great values. It sill needs another a couple of decades to reach the peak. |

3/26/2024 - talbot61 Likes this wine: NRBoston Wine & Poker, Brookline, NH: Tasted blind. No doubt this is port. On the sweet side. Lots of caramel. A suggestion of bubblegum. The alcohol is fully integrated -- there is no heat. Completely drinkable now. From Philip's cellar. |

12/22/2023 - Matt.H wrote: 89 pointsOpened in the run in to Christmas. Packed full of sweet, ripe black fruit. Lovely balance, this punches well above it's relatively lowly price point. Outpointed the 1994 vintage Croft, which we had on the big day, but which seemed somewhat muted and one-dimensional in comparison. |

3/18/2024 - david.ivarsson@klattercentret. Likes this wine: NRKompakt mörk färg med en klarröd rand. Doft av damm, blåbär, kokta körsbär och nejlikor. Markant syra, lite hetta från alkoholen, liten stävhet. Kort. Helt ok, men mer privsärt med single vineyard vintage? |

3/9/2024 - jonahfactor Likes this wine: NR(Wineapalooza With Friends.) A marvel, really. Was never cellared during its three decades in bottle. Yet, except for slight bricking, this was in excellent shape following closet storage. A fairly simple Port, as the tasting notes from others reflect. But a tasty partner to blue cheese and walnuts, and a good close to our tasting. Drink now. |

3/8/2024 - chrisk525 Likes this wine: 92 pointsCreamy, raisiny, sweet, lovely aromatics. I'm no port expert, just starting to explore, but this would be a lovely dessert wine with some creme brulee, soft blue cheese, or even just coffee. |

3/7/2024 - xyc Likes this wine: 91 pointsThere are likely many bottlings of this NV so I discount previous noters. The most solid entry level Port compared to top 5. Character of a Vintage or LBV vs Croft, Dow, Sandeman, Graham, Fonseca, taste, viscosity, mouthfeel. Not a complex Port but has the essentials, particularly in display of correct not sweet but ripe. The others can be undrinkable to a Port taster, you could hide this in a Vintage tasting, "light year". |
