4/10/2024 - huse Does not like this wine: 80 pointsI had good memories of this wine but the 2018 version is really disappointing. Decanted: one hour prior to tasting. Color: medium intense garnet-red with a watery rim. Bouquet: shy nose offering some scents of sour cherry, cassis and a touch of sandalwood and menthol. On the palate: an unbalanced light- to medium-bodied wine with a sharp acid structure and rather smooth tannins ; it lacks elegance, depth and complexity. Finish: no aftertaste to speak of. Not recommendable at all ; the quality-price ratio is very average. |

De color granate muy cubierto pero con el ribete algo abierto. La nariz es intensa y con personalidad, muy buena fruta, hierbas aromáticas, matices florales, ... En boca tiene buen ataque, cuerpo medio, tanino pulido, bastante fresco, con estructura media, largo y equilibrado. Muy buena presencia y notable complejidad. |

A natural wine, no sulfites added, made from 60+ year old vines, aged in used barrels for 13 months and in bottle for 2 years. Medium golden colour. Intense rich aroma of pears, flint, smoke, matchstick, ripe apples, chalk, herbal nuances. Medium+ body, rich, fragrant and savoury with flinty mineral character, white fruit notes, persistent and well integrated high acidity. |

10/29/2023 - ricard Likes this wine: 95 pointsColour a bit brown and muddy; fair amount of sediment. Decanted. Really great nose - wow. All those deep, rich tertiaries: leather, figs, dates, treacle, chocolate/cocoa, wet earth. I love this - it's serious, emotional, melancholy (in a poetic, not dispiriting sense). It's fresh but also a tiny bit bitter. The fruit is advanced but not at all dying. Excellent spicy character. Nutty as well - crushed hazelnuts, walnuts. Deep, dark chocolate truffles and a zesty moment at the end - almost like limes. Very impressive and charismatic. Often (for me) too bitter and demanding when young. But Dido is clearly great with a couple of decades of age. Worth the wait! |

Almonds, hazelnuts, pine nuts. Lots of nuts. Herbs like rosemary and oregano. Gorgeously rich and giving. All the things: generous and lush, expansive and eloquent. And delicious! |
