Barn, then black cherry and fruit leather on the nose. Exceptional level of fruit at the attack - cherry and jammy reds......quite massive still. Amazing at 22 years out really. On day two much of the same, with the palate developing some tart sour cherry notes and high framed acidic notes. Still quite dense and concentrated. |

11/7/2023 - andrew.cameron wrote: 96 pointsDelicious shiraz, deep ruby in colour with an aromatic lift of dark red rose petals and loads of fresh red cherry, black cherry, black and red plum, spice, cedar, vanilla, black pepper, milk chocolate and leather. A big, full bodied wine with well integrated ripe tannins and a long finish. Look for a peak around 2030-35, drink to 2040 |

6/29/2023 - Delund Likes this wine: 89 points90 minute decant, per Ogres3's note. Deep garnet color. Dark fruits, mocha notes, vanilla and mint on the nose. Very nice bold raspberry fruit dominates the palate, with persistent white pepper notes and savory earth flavors. Lively acidity, full-bodied, well-integrated tannins. Short, clean finish. Pleasant wine with years of life to go. |

5/1/2013 - pmarlo wrote: 91 pointsActual date opened and consumed is 5/18/08. Decanted. Fruity bouquet, dry, oak, and tannins. I marveled at the way the legs ran on this wine more than any others I've observed. First wave ran fast and fat, then it was as if layer upon layer ran in succession. Second wave ran slower, followed again by a third and fourth wave. Dense wine, medium bodied. Purple stain on the rim of the glass as well. Now after about an hour in the glass the hardness in the first taste has settled down, and quite nicely. Smoothed out. This wine is the type that developed day after day. Feel it can age 10 years. |

7/7/2022 - angelcyn Likes this wine: NRHad a few Cimicky wines when in Aus some years ago, all were good and all typical of grape and area, big fruity nose on this a nd a big mouthful, no alcoholic overtones nicely balanced for a big wine and not overpriced as many wines in Australia are starting to be, I enjoyed this. |

I particularly enjoyed the Quatum and Cimisky Shiraz the most. The Bordeau was good and the Gundlach was Okay. All wines are in good shape and probably drinking at thier prime. |
