The level of intensity here is breathtaking. This is the first white Burgundy '14 that has performed at the top of its game that I have tasted. Perhaps they are coming around a bit? They've been too young earlier, but seems better now. Especially if this bottle is any kind of indicator. Fabulous.

The finish is lazer-like with a great mineral crunch and a wonderful wintergreen note. Awesome and drinking very well now although plenty of life ahead.

This marries (in perfect harmony) the acidity of the aszu with the rich developed flavours of the Kapi. The balance is beautiful and it firmly walks the line of balance from start to end. Mushroomy kero with fresh lining of ripe sunkist oranges with just a touch of black tea sweetened by lovely golden freshly harvested honey. Some interesting spice undertones and long finish that hovers in the throat for a min, two...and I still taste traces of it after 5 mins.

The dried and candied fruits leads me to believe this bottle might be a bit damaged by heat and not optimal. But then again, many '07's are a bit like that nowadays. Tasted against a Burguet Gevrey Chambertin Mes Favourites VV 2005, and that one blew the socks of this poor '07.
