11/15/2015 - ellars Likes this wine: 86 points86: Extraordinarily drinkable red blend (64% Malbec, 20% Syrah, 16% Bonarda) from the Mendoza region. The only real knock against it is the lack of complexity that one might expect from a blend like this, but the skill of the vintner is obvious in the smoothness of the mouthfeel and well-managed tannins. Fairly fruit forward on the tongue with a pleasant finish, though the latter is a bit on the sweet side. An insane QPR for $4.19 (on clearance unfortunately). Paired equally well with blue cheese steak and pork satay. |

7/5/2015 - Mike Kopanski wrote: 83 pointsGot to dis this one for way too much residual sugar. Close to syrupy sweet no wonder it has big legs. Deep purple color. Grapy nose with some pencil shavings, mint, forest floor and evergreen. Quite heavy on the entrance because of the sugar. Cloying and flabby. not really a serious wine. |

2/28/2015 - Mike Kopanski wrote: 86 pointsThis is kind of a fun wine. It is a little bit sweet, so we have to discount it as totally serious. But, in it's own way it tastes pretty good. It is 62% Malbec, 21% Syrah, and 17% Bonarda. The Bonarda leaves a rustic black cherry feature on the palate, while the other 2 varietals give a little bit of structure and tannins. Deep purple color. Nose shows some heavy oak influence. Some gritty little tannins. Not much mid palate. Stemy, rustic mulberry finish. |

2/6/2015 - Wpdawg Likes this wine: 87 pointsHave to disagree with the previous note. Our local Publix had this wine on sale as a BOGO (buy one get one free) so I figured at $4.50 a bottle what the heck and it's from Mendoza after all. Corked one last night to pair with an Angus NY strip. I wasn't expecting much but I was pleasantly surprised. Good legs, nice on the nose, medium to full bodied. The only negative I found was a slightly sweet finish. Comparable to $15-20 Malbecs. May even get a little better with some bottle aging. Overall great QPR even at the regular $9 price. |

7/10/2013 - ABandy Likes this wine: 85 pointsDeep red, slow legs, fruit and alchy smell, looks like it will be a Big Red, but surprising in its lightness. Not deep, nor spectacular, but drinkable and excellent with the beef empanadas. Long finish. |

6/1/2013 - LungDoc Likes this wine: 86 pointsDark red color; Fruity aroma, predominant cherry on palate; medium finish with a slight bite at the end. A bit on the sweet side, but easy to drink table wine. More mellow on day two. |

6/6/2013 - FrugalGlug Likes this wine: 88 pointsVery wide in the mouth, sour even; it fans out as it reaches the back of your throat. A great foundation and fill, but lacks anything really outstanding or complex. Zesty with a hint of mineral. Worthy. |

3/19/2013 - Mike Kopanski wrote: 86 pointsTen months later, I am more bullish on this wine. It is not layered or complex, but more time in bottle has settled down the oak and brought out some really nice maraschino cherry flavor. The fruit seems much more pure than I remembered. On the roof of the mouth after swishing around for a few seconds, there is even some Mt Morency tart cherry mashed with a little bit of sugar. The more I swallow, the more I like the flavor. |

2/26/2013 - Dagalaifus Does not like this wine: 50 pointsIn the glass, dark straw. Nose of red apple. On the palate, demi-sec, sweet apple, vanilla and sulfur with cedar and butter notes. A short finish, which given how awful this wine tastes, is way too long. A complete waste of a 750 ml. glass bottle. |

2/10/2013 - JimEaton wrote: 72 pointsThe nose is apple. This was a prelude to the taste. Quite sweet for a Chardonnay. There was no pear, a slight amount of citrus. Apple was the over powering flavor. If you like 2 Buck Chuck this might work for you but if you typically spend more than $5 on a bottle of Chardonnay you should pass on this one. |

Full flavored with buttered apple and spice notes that persist through a barrel driven, vanilla finish. Not exactly my style but for those looking for a respectable, easy going party wine give this one a shot. At $3 I might even buy another bottle. |

1/21/2013 - watkins11 Likes this wine: 79 pointsI enjoyed this wine when paired with grilled pork chops and a blackberry guacamole sauce. It was very bright and the blackberry in the guac allowed the fruit flavors in the wine to meld together well with the pork. The wine had a very long finish, close to half a minute. |
