Very fragrant nose with dusty soil, cherry, slight whiff of vanilla. Medium + body and acidity along with fine tight medium tannins. Very fresh and still young. Great with or without food. Just as good as the ‘15 I had several of. Will stick several of these away. Bargain. |

Writing mostly to say that we gave this about 90 minutes of air, and at this point, I’m not sure this needs it. Mature, well-balanced, solid if not exceptional with food and without. I’d put this mid to late drinking window, and would say to drink now to the next couple of years. 91 if scoring. |
