Drinks very young, consumed two glasses first night and vacuumed the remainder which was consumed 48 hours later. Even better and more complex on day 3. Give it some air if you drink now, but patience will be rewarded. Enjoyed this. |

There's dark fruit, forest floor, and leather on the nose. The palate is spicy blackberry and black cherry along with some cranberry. There's oak and firm tannins on the long finish. The body is full with a fleshy consistency. This wine has deep intensity. It's very drinkable now, however, the tannins will hold up for another 10-20 years. Overall, this is a fine, varietal wine for a red Burgundy. It's a masculine Burgundy as one would expect from Gevrey. I'm glad that I still have three bottles remaining. |
