No reduction or overt oak either, though this showed a fair bit riper than the Roulot alongside. Initially, I preferred this wine, but with more air, I feel like the Roulot picked up more gravitas. This was more exuberant and expressive from the get-go, and it stayed that way over the course of the night. |

3/20/2024 - NickA Likes this wine: 92 pointsWell-resolved. Some smoke on the nose, and a touch of cream. Tart limey fruit on the palate, with a sassafrass note that I've detected in other PYCMs before (and don't particularly care for). Overall, in a nice place, but let down by a weak finish. |

3/16/2024 - ylkim30 Likes this wine: NRThis was stunning. While it has excellent acidity and energy, this is more powerful and a touch riper than PYCM's St. Aubins, marrying the lean energy and drive of those wines with greater amplitude and weight. Intense, yet delicate on the palate, with terrific tension. |

3/16/2024 - ylkim30 Likes this wine: NRI have found the '16 vintage of this wine to be too round and oily for my tastes. While this is still relatively broad-shouldered and fat, when compared to the En Remilly, the thrust of the acidity balances the oily texture to give the wine a little more cut and definition. Good (though outclassed by the '21 En Remilly). |

3/16/2024 - ylkim30 Likes this wine: NRLinear and focused with white orchard fruit, a flinty minerality, and terrific energy on cut on the palate, and a hit of salinity on the palate. Lean, yet intense. |

4/21/2024 - sean20waldo Likes this wine: 90 pointsVery light colour, savoury nose. Slight underripe tones but an elegant style of old school burgundy. Not without power and good acidity so will likely last for many years to go |

4/20/2024 - Floral Does not like this wine: 79 pointsRight now, this is boring and simple. It comes across as an average wine with no real distinction (little reduction, a little tart stone fruit and citrus). |

4/20/2024 - dream Likes this wine: 94 pointsThis is such a classic Chassagne showing real elegance and complexity as compared to say the raw power of PYCM Puligny or Meursault. Really grew in the glass with very finely detailed flavors of lemons, minerals and salted butter. The finish is lifted and beautifully complex with a saturated intensity that builds on the palate. Great stuff and drinking beautifully now (off the list at Claud). |

4/20/2024 - Lucien Likes this wine: 92 pointsShowed better on day 2. Pale straw colour. Nice nose of green fruits. Citrus and green fruits on the palate with crisp acidity, hints of oak and a nice secondary salinity and Meursault full bodied opulence. Long finish. A very nice wine indeed with a long life ahead. Will try another bottle in a year or so. |

4/13/2024 - ThijsV Likes this wine: 92 pointsLunch at the Librije (Zwolle, NL): [Restaurant Purchase] No detailed notes. This had the typical PYCM signature with lovely reduction and gentle oak touch. The fruit had more stuffing than I expected for this village, although the difference with his Chenevottes is significant. Crowd pleaser |

4/14/2024 - Theamateurwinesnob Likes this wine: NRSignature flinty/smokey nose with lemon and butter. While light weighted, which is expected for its level, great acidity and wonderfully balanced with some air. Though I don’t have a ton of experience with PYCM’s wines, a nice value to get a sense of his style IMO. |
