The color inside the glass is a light garnet red, completely opaque and thinner at the rim. On the nose notes of raspberry and plum. On the palate, there are notes of cherry and ripe raspberry again, with some plum on the back end. Higher in acidity somewhat less concentrated and with a moderate finish there are better in this price range but still enjoyable.

Really enjoyed this bottle. Fruit forward but not jammy, light but still interesting. Great both with a meal and on its own.

Apple, pear, apricot, almond and flower. Rich and with good acidity. Tasty with the grilled swordfish and with the salmon sashimi and grilled salmon fillet. Good qpr for $20/ bottle.

Very enjoyable. Concentrated red berry fruit with medium flavor intensity. Well-balanced alcohol, acidity, and tannin, with a velvety mouthfeel.

Medium ruby color. Such a fresh, floral nose with tangy red plums, wild raspberries, bright strawberries, along with complex notes of rhubarb, rose petals, deep earth, violets. The palate shows moderate but chewy tannins and vibrant acidity, which makes for a lovely, balanced wine, with flavors of zesty cranberry relish and juicy black cherries. There are a host of savory but vibrant accents in this wine (rhubarb, spiced tea, anise). Fun and fresh but serious complexity and balance, not to mention value. Aged nine months in 20% new French oak.

Deep yellow color. The aromas show a pleasantly balanced blend between richer tones (honey, nougat, apricot, ginger, almond) with brighter ones (white flowers, sea salt, crushed limestone). The palate shows rich texture and racy acidity, making for a juicy but lip-smacking Chard with flavors of apricot and yellow apple. Notes of chalk, flint, almond shell, ginger snaps, and honey add complexity. Rich but nuanced, this would please many a Chardonnay-loving palate. Aged eight months in neutral French oak.

Shabbat Dinner at Pam and Dean's with Wine (Princeton, New Jersey): Red berry, cherry, strawberry, rose petals, minerals and some spice on the finish.

Such a food-friendly wine. Paired with everything on the table: mushroom and goat's cheese quiche (especially great with this!) and the Thai-style salmon red curry (with coconut milk).

This will be even better with a year or 2 of bottle age, but good now. A local Bottle King (of Princeton) wine.

On the lighter end of pinot noir, French style, with lots of fruit, mild tannins, well balanced acidity.

Tarter, lighter but robust pinot noir, with full fruit and complexity, round mouth and aromas with mature and balanced tannins, adds nicely to your food pairing repertoire. A favorite for us with a price that rewards our pleasure.

Day 1: Only buy one 2020 at a time is the advice I am giving myself. This is the worst of the Sea Slopes Pinot's I have tasted. Burnt toast, cranberry, spice and floral notes. It is not bad it is just not in the league of prior vintages. This is a pass on day 1 but things have changed before. 86 points
Day 2: More noticeable. Burnt toast, muted fruit, sour berries and short finish. Even worse on day 2 and this is one of many 2020's that will disappoint. 80 points
Day 3: The nice thing about 3 day wine review is the flaws get multiplied on day 3. This wine is not drinkable and I will be returning it for a full refund. 65 points
Recommendation: This is always a 90 plus wine for me but not in 2020. Buy different vintages from Sonoma and Napa in 2020.

Nice light garnet. Aromas burst with red fruit - cherry, strawberry, cranberry and some spice. Medium bodied, with a great beaming acidity, loads of bright red cherry and cranberry. Nice warm spices hang on, with a a medium length finish to it. This is a little hollow to me, with a tough finish. But that red fruit is so pure and bright. A very good fruit forward Cali coast Pinot. Nice minerality.

Strawberry nose leads to fresh flower and cherry, raspberries, subtle tartness and plenty of mineral acidity.
Excellent value.

A nice low end Chard with decent flavors, but not enough there to make our House list.A serviceable lunch white.

Day 1: Very nice wine for under $30. Earth, minerals, strawberry, cherry, mild spice and floral notes. Super complex wine and medium plus finish. This is one of the top Pinots under $30. (Screw Cap) 92 points
Day 2: Continues to exceed the price point. Strawberry, spice, minerals, dust, earth and mushrooms. 13.5% alcohol. Medium plus finish. Like the style as it has fruit but not jammy like some California higher end Pinots. 92 points
Recommendation: This did not make it to day 3 so it is amazing.

A delicious wine -- especially upon opening and with no food. Good fruit, floral, citrus, honeysuckle and some oak broiche on the finish.

Best on its own. Best cold. Pretty good with the swordfish. Not as good with the Norwegian salmon (sashimi and pan-grilled) or with the wild and long-grained rice in chicken broth with truffle oil.

Maybe needs some roast chicken?

Good QPR for $20 / bottle. Drink now.

Day 1: Nice find at Thomas Liquors in St. Paul. One of my favorite under $30 California Pinots. Very balanced as always and features spice, minerals, cherry, cranberry, celery, dust and sour berries. Super tasty and medium plus finish. (Screw Cap Closure). 91 points
Day 2: Better which is no surprise with a young Sea Slopes Pinot Noir. Underbrush, strawberry, cherry, minerals, dust, floral and wood. Medium plus finish and nice acidity. A must buy. 92 points
Day 3: Forest floor, cherry, strawberry, minerals, spices, soy, wood and dust. Very nice day 3 showing. This is plenty of life ahead. 92 points
Recommendations: Love the Sea Slopes and always a great QPR wine.
