There was significant sediment, much of it on the cork, so I presume it has been laid down consistently for a number of years. Tannins and acid still present, will probably make it another year, possibly two. Dark fruit, raspberry and blueberry, with a bit of strawberry as it finishes. Starting to gain brown colors, but still quite clear. I get a little bit of good funkiness, the finish is medium and pleasant. If you still own it don’t wait, I can’t imagine it will get any better. |

4/8/2020 - Epic Tale Likes this wine: 88 points(opened 2 days ago...last glass!) - color: dark scarlet; nose: light oak; taste: medium-bodied mouth feel, tastes of rounded red fruit, herbs, and a little tobacco, medium-length slightly chalky finish, some acidity, moderate tannins; overall: masculine Old World profile, probably at its best with food (beef, lamb, or roast chicken), drinking well as of April 2020, decent QPR ($13.75/bottle via Garagiste) |

This 2015 is appealing now and can be kept a little while longer. Very velvety and quite intersting. Drinking well currently. Worth seeking out. |

10/20/2019 - pgrzesik wrote: 85 pointsDrank this over 2 days. The first day it had lots of tertiary characteristics on the nose - dark stewed cherries, some hints of baking spices, and forest floor. This had nice depth for a Bordeaux of the price range - good acidity. Drinking this 10 years after it was bottled really was overall pleasant. Probably was a lot better a few years ago. Second day not as good. |

5/4/2019 - AMC Eagle wrote: 91 pointsOne hour slow ox'ed then poured through a vinturri. Colour of diffused semi dark ruby. Nose of brown sugar covered red cherries and a slight hint of cinnamon. The palate's getting black cherries, red currants, and some dark berries at the end; tannins melt away easily. Medium bodied with a medium+ finish. This is a better showing than the 2016(with the correct cork to go with it). |

5/4/2019 - AMC Eagle wrote: 89 pointsOne hour slow ox'ed then poured through a vinturri. Has a medium ruby-red in colour. Nose of creamy red berries, plums, with some fresh hints of tobacco leaves. On the palate, there are dark berries with some cassis and some spiciness at the end. Medium bodied with a medium finish. The cork says "La Chapelle" on it so I am not sure if this the regular bottling or the La Chapelle one(is this their 2nd bottle)? The 2015 has more "pop" than this one so I'll leave it at there. |
