Not a lot of fruit here probably due to the impression of low acidity. A bit of chalk and tannin on the palate. Smooth finish with a touch of grip and heat. Ok as a mid - week dinner wine. |

Has that nice kind of rustic cola flavor.As with last bottle, note that it does degrade a bit with a little air time. But very drinkable, some depth, and again, pretty good for $13 or $14. |

Secondary floral notes of violet, some pepper and hints of darker fruit suggest some syrah. Palate incredibly balanced. Well lifted fruit. Long finish of fruit and Garrigue and meaty hints. The mineral notes and freshness suggest this is from rocky slopes with some elevation. Wow. |

Some minerality on the palate, hint of berries, a hint of anise. Lingering, pleasant finish. I wouldn’t call it long, there is no power here, but a lovely, pleasant wine. |

4/14/2020 - cab Likes this wine: NRLike this better than the last bottle and it is, as one prior review notes, a pretty good QPR, although I'm still maybe not quite as enthused. Absolutely delicious even if straightforward and not too complex when first opened, I wouldn't say jammy, but thick dark fruit and a nice zest. A few hours later it has started to degrade a little into slight gaminess and a little heat. Bottom line: I'm somebody who likes a value CdR, and this definitely is in that category. |
