3/24/2024 - bram_epicurien Likes this wine: flawedVery brown gold color. The nose immediately brings me to a vin jaune. Med acidity, med body, med alcohol, med flavor intensity, med finish. Oxidised, not very acid, orange, hay, salinity, very much vin jaune. Guess this is not the idea so marked the bottle as off. |

3/17/2024 - isbjoern wrote: 91 pointsFrom Magnum. Quite sweet with obvious botrytis influence, rich and powerful - especially for Burgundy Chardonnay, high glycerin concentration, tropical fruits, beeswax, orange marmalade, good acidity, medium length. Impresses with richness rather than elegance. Not my favourite style of Chardonnay, but undeniably good quality and excellent value for white Burgundy. Drink or keep. - 91 points |

3/13/2024 - melzar wrote: 88 pointsHighly extracted Chardonnay. A little clumsy and in need of more acidity. Although I believe that oak is not warranted in most Mâcon, it might help here to balance the copious fruit. addendum: Beginning to taste old by day three. |

3/6/2024 - jviz wrote: NRThis is a really interesting wine. Botrytis like whoa, super hot (14.5 one the label drinks like 15.8) but it’s also really pure, not too tropical, quite concentrated, certainly not flabby, oak is concealed. I would love to contrast this with a big California chard a la Marcassin. |

3/3/2024 - Oddbod Likes this wine: 92 pointsStone fruit, mirabel plums, waxy lemon peel, touch of papaya on the nose. Superb creamy, tropical and ripe green fruit on the palate. Finishing rich, long and layered. Ripeness pushed, but not overdone, cut with pin point acidity. A somewhat odd, but delicious marvel. At drinking peak. |

The palate is quite exotic with grapefruit and pineapple and a touch of the tang one would sometimes associate with a Jurancon. Far fresher than most Côte d’Or Chardonnays of the same year. |

1/19/2024 - etyc Likes this wine: NRDecanted for ~4+hrs prior to serving. A very interesting wine. This nosed of some development (age) with chrysanthemum, barley but also fresh honey that somehow gave the overall sense a bright lift. Viscous, waxy texture on the palate with notes of lime & ginger. Long/fresh finish. Need to try another one again, soon... |

1/17/2024 - Putnam Weekley Likes this wine: 94 pointsFrom a ridiculously cold cellar, it drank better as it warmed under air. Pungent, sticky aromas of pear resin/glycerin lead to a salted, mineral terrace. A mouthful is textured, fitted with appetizing stone bitterness, and tart wildflower paste. Wow! Long, elaborate aeration is important here. |

12/16/2023 - Peraix Likes this wine: 94 pointsIts sweeter than I had expected. Categorized as dry by The WA but a more precise description would be off-dry. Some shops mention "sweet". For me just slightly too sweet for the "normal white" 9-10 C. The remedy is to chill it to around 5 C which still makes the flavours come through very well. |
