Can still go for a while.

If drinking now, I'd decant. It needed a good bit of time to get fleshed out. Initially, the oak character was a bit forward/out of place. It was eventually enveloped in the juicy savory fruit.

Deep and silky looking, purple and ruby
Nose began very perfumed, now coming into cooked fruits after 30 mins in glass.
Red fruits, spice, alcohol, boisterous and young. Delicious but promising more.
Keep for at least 2-3 years, but if you like them like this enjoy now... with a Montecristo as I am now.

Slender and tone, not even a hint of jammy zin voluptuousness on day 1, but rather a surprisingly almost Burgundian body and little tannic grab (or oak). Rich coffee and mocha rising off the attack and carrying through to an entirely pleasant pine, "eucalyptus" alcoholic astringency on finish. Prune if forced to call fruit. Sweetens up and smooths out on days 2 and 3, adding tar and dark rock tones, too. Delicious and characterful. Strong buy.

Major disappointment. Received this by mistake from wine.com instead of 2012 Ridge Monte Bello Chardonnay. Way too ripe, flabby, with insufficient acidity. Didn't improve over several hours of breathing. Could shed some oak fat over the next year or two, but I am not seeing how this could improve significantly with cellaring. So much for Ridge's restrained style.

Pnp from a 375ml. Nose had tobacco, prunes, plums, and soil. Palate had good depth and intensity with black fruit, prunes, leather, tobacco and liquorice. The half bottle format is drinking very well now. I believe the 750ml will have at least 8-10 years to go.

Very nice wine. May be near the pop and pour stage. Very pleasant rich and lush purple and black fruit. Can drink with or without food, but probably won't stand up to really spicy dishes. Excellent finish. Not sure this needs to sit for years in a bottle.

Way to primary and young. This was just too much after Burgundy. Come back in 5 years.

fantastic bottle of wine, decanted in the AM for 90 mins, then bk in bottle and had at dinner, full bodied but not heavy at all, grapey fruit profile, tannins gone, way out in front of the '90 Lafon Santenots du Mileiu but as the aeration continued the Lafon caught up... just a pleasure and certainly a crowd pleaser (Lafon a little less so, due to great acid profile)... if any complaint it was a touch softer than optimal, also just less complexity than would have been required for a higher rating

This is in a much better spot right now than a few years ago. Dark red raspberry and ripe plums on the nose with some sweet spices, pepper and oak notes. Very nice. Dark and juicy red fruits on the palate with a nice balance of fruit and oak. Medium+ acid and medium tannins with a slightly peppery finish. Some zins can be heavy fruit and alcohol bombs and this is actually refreshing and enjoyable to drink with room to grow. Very good.

Love these aged ATP selections. Cinnamon, red cherries, and mushroom/underbrush in the glass. Red/black zin berries with a long finish. Perhaps a grind of black pepper and even some black olive. Harmonious. Great quality for the price. Perfect with roasted chicken legs with soy and orange glaze. Drink now.

Dark core, maroon rim; fresh dark fruit, cedar, sandalwood, grainy, creamy oak, some age, high toned, big, tar, still seems quite youthful; high toned on the palate, grainy tannin, grippy, red and dark currant, good taut finish; still so young but like potential, 92+.

Aroma: reticent scents of wood spice and wildflowers.
Palate: Rich and spicy flavors of raspberry and plum with notes of baking spice. Light to moderate body and bright acidity. Somewhat green and puckery tannin. Needs a few years in the cellar. Should be a good food wine.

Very smooth zin blend stylistically less fruit driven than many zins (although is clearly still zin!). Starting to show a little mellow age but probably has plenty more years ahead of it.

was concentrated and over the top concentrated nd alcoholic on day 1 and I corked it with a Nitrogen blast and left it in the cellar and forgot it for a week.

Glorious today and not oxidize or pruney. It has balance and length and no alcoholic overtone. I was amazed

Suggestive of future greatness, but needs to sleep until 2020 (note the comments on the back label, which over a few decades of experience with Ridge wines, are quite accurate). Wine is in a dumb phase and needs to integrate. The '12 Lytton is more drinkable at present. Stressing that both Lytton and Geyserville are not usually instant gratification type wines. Give them some time and they will surprise you with lovely Bordeaux style nuances. The '12 Geyserville will be a great wine.

Right out of the bottle with tropical Grenache notes. Trademark ridge barrel has smoothed out quite a bit. Remembering the gren /Syrah 04 drank a few years ago was tough, this smooth. Interesting with almost a quarter of the blend coming from petite sirah and zin. The zin definitely pops on the finish with strawberry preserve. Raspberry and black fruit spread. Softly tannic at this stage. Ready to go!
Excellent
