A fairly typical Salinas Valley lowland wine as indicated by the fruit and slightly vegetal accent (from mechanical harvesting?). Flavors are full but acidity lacking, indicating that this wine will be best in its youth. |

3/29/2016 - tastark Does not like this wine: NRI can see why people would like this wine, but it just isn't my thing. Syrah is such a pretty, expressive grape. It doesn't need to be weighted down with a ton of new oak and extraction. If you're a big, tannic, new world red kind of person, you'll love this wine. If you prefer expressions of Syrah more akin to what you find in the Northern Rhone, look elsewhere. |
