Color. Gold/yellow

Nose. Straw, hay, apples, limes. Very elegant nose.

Palate. Crisp acidity. Bread. Sweet biscuits. Very yummy.

Definitely drink up!

A rare find at a favorite store. $27!

Color. Garnet red. No brick bleeding into the edge. Very fine.

Nose. Cedar, boiled cherries, sage, pencil lead, rhubarb. Very elegant. An hour after opening there's a strong smell of coffee. Very unique.

Palate. Very rich given the age. Sweet cherries and strawberry syrup. Crisp acidity. Tannins are nearly nonexistent. Balanced to a point. Almost too much residual sugar.

At 17 years of age it's phenomenal for a new age Tempranillo. I like it!

Color. Dark yellow for how young it is. Suggests decent ripeness and extraction.

Nose. Apples, oak, vanilla, lemon, orange blossom.

Palate. Apple tart, biscuit, chamomile tea. Very yummy.

Nose. Green melon, baked apple, white flowers.

Palate. Rich and creamy. Not like a Chardonnay. The semillon character really shines through. Lemons and wax and soft spices. The finish isn't terribly long. It's a yummy wine.

A king soopers closeout. I have always wanted to try their wines, but not pay their prices. Not overly impressed. Will save the future bottles to test their ability to age.

Color. Translucent red

Nose. Strawberries, cherries, undergrowth, cardamom, sandalwood

Palate. Crisp acidity, teak wood, undergrowth, stewed cherries.

Overall, not impressed.

A very brambly style. Not a juicy fruit style.

Color. Dark saturated purple.

Nose. Brambles, make up, cinnamon, clove, green bell pepper.

Palate. Cherries, cocoa, currants, spicy acidity. The acidity is balanced by a lower fruit quality.

Color. Red with a bit of brick.

Nose. Cherries, strawberries, bran, cinnamon, bbq meats, cardamom.

I feel fortunate to have snagged a few bottles of this wine. His Rhone wines are so hard to find and when you do, they are very expensive. For less than $50, this wine is a steal.

Color. Saturated and inky red.

Nose. Blackberries, cherries, sage, blueberries, cocoa nibs, graphite, donut frosting?

Palate. Dense fruit, Spruce syrup, glycerin, dense tannins that aren't huge, crisp acidity, a decent level of alcohol that wears on the palate. Overall it's a huge wine, that's immensely enjoyable.

Still an excellent bottle. The flint and petrol is receding a bit. I have to save a few to the 10 year mark.

Color. Pale yellow/green

Nose. Peach, lime, sprite, cardamom, flowers. Very delicate and not overstated.

Palate. Apple sauce, ginger, pumpkin, pears, It's the most fruit-delineated wine I have tried recently.

Namesake for our dear sweet Cortina. Our first Brittany.

Color. Saturated red. Dark and very dense.

Nose. Balanced, blackberries, grapes, brambles, cinnamon.

Palate. Smooth, balanced, beautiful. Very rich, yet elegant. Tannins are balanced but not overt. Yummy wine.

Color. Pale red. Very little brick, if any.

Nose. Kirsch, cherries, cinnamon, clove, crayons, cinnamon red hot candies.

Palate. Smooth, balanced, some tannins, cherries, red candy. So f'ing great.

A WTSO SPECIAL. Great nose, but limited Palate.

Color. Saturated red.

Nose. Subtle blackberry, bran, graphite, no alcohol burn. Very elegant.

Palate. Cherries, oak, simple finish. No tannins or acidity.

A special wine for me. Love the story behind their house. So good for a NM designated wine.

Color. Rich yellow.

Nose. Chalk, sardines, salinity, biscuits, flowers, pears.

Palate. Apple skins, toasted oak?, oyster crackers, lemon grass. It's a very austere and refined wine. Elegant isn't the right word, more like particular flavors that are not out of sync or overstated.

A total random buy... wanted a specific ava for under $25 and not French or USA... settled on this one.

Color. Pale yellow

Nose. Oak, vanilla, orange peel.

Palate. Lemons, vanilla, sassafras, orange blossom.

Very delicious and easy to enjoy!!

A new Vineyard for us to try. Yummy stuff!

Color. Dark saturated red.

Nose. Dark berries, chocolate, Blueberry compote, sage, clove. Very complex!

Palate. Cherries, chocolate, and blueberries. Rich and balanced. Very structured and enjoyable.

I used to sell this wine. I think for the under $20 category it over delivers on nose, character, and quality. This vintage is very good.

Color. Dark saturated red.

Nose. Cherries, cocoa, Graham cracker, bran, earth. Very enjoyable.

Palate. Cherries, cocoa, oak, vanilla, tannins. The finish isn't longer than 20 seconds, but very enjoyable .

A WTSO special. Very, very good. It's an earthy version of a rioja. At 12 years of age it's certainly fleshed out and very approachable now. Pop and pour.

Color. Dark red, very little brick at the edge.

Nose. Soy, balsamic, dark cherry, blackberries, cedar, pencil lead, very little alcohol burn. Very impressive!

Palate. Backwards, rich chocolately tannins, cherries. The finish isn't terribly long, but it's very enjoyable.

Takes me back to our trip to the dolomites in 2019. So yummy.

Color. Pale red.

Nose. Juicy fruit. Very delicate.

Palate. Smooth, smooth, smooth. Raspberry, blood orange, mild acidity. Very delicious!
