Nose of blueberries, Kirsch, white pepper and a hint of smoke. Flavors of black berries and black cherries. Medium acidity, firm tannins, medium body. Drink now with some air time or continue to hold into the short to medium term perhaps. 89+ in my book. My guess is this is the 2006 Perata Vineyards "Frank's" Cabernet Sauvignon. |

Darker fruit than expected--black raspberries, bit of black cherries on the nose. A little floral & vanilla are more prominent with air. Good weight on the palate, more dark fruit, a good smooth sensation, and a finish that hangs on a while to mix in dark fruits / berries, nice vanilla & a bit of warm baking spices. I'm likely to buy another as this satisfied the Cali Cab need at a good price. 89-90 |
