Light magenta, quite aromatic with cherry blossoms and black currant on the nose. Medium body, medium acid, bone dry with savory notes of cranberry and sour cherry. A bit herbaceous. Medium length with a warm, sharp finish. A little unbalanced with the alcohol taking prominence.

Somewhat richer than the Domaine Corne-Loup Tavel, but close in terms of its austerity. No stone, but some cherry in the nose and mouth. A bit tough with food. Richer mouthfeel without being even a little bit creamy.

Really a nice wine for what it is. Strawberry, cherry, floral, minerals and a touch of spice. Delicious with our charred, smoked turkey kielbasa. Great qpr.

Great Tavel. Dark pink color, gravel on the nose. Strawberry with a clay flinty taste. Good body. Nicely acidic. Buy again!

Bone dry but still fruit driven. Bright red fruit with more weight than typical Rosé. Delicious food friendly wine.

Wife approves, as she is the Rose drinker. Nothing wrong from my glass either, but it is not my style.

This is such a great and versatile rose. More full bodied than most roses
It was a great aperitif and a great pairing for a Caesar salad!
Can’t go wrong with this bottle, absolute gem

Fairly deep pink colour.

Medium intensity on the nose with strawberry jam, melon, orange.

Medium intensity on the palate, medium body, medium acidity, barely noticeable tannins, medium finish but some bitterness and the alcohol sticks out a bit.

Dark red for a rosé, with extracted flavor halfway between a Provence rosé and a Cote du Rhône. Nice but simple, not really my favorite style. Would not buy again. I’ve had much better rosés for $4 in Rhône grocery stores.

Color like a Claret. Red fruits in nose and mouth. Well made although not super complex. Could do with a bit more acidity. Only a little tannin. Full bodied, almost a bit over the edge, definitely for food. Good with white meat, mediterranean style food.

Had this at my Rose tasting party. 8 different Roses, none from Provence. This one was unique and one of my favs from the tasting. Although I admit I’m not much of a Rose drinker.

Over five years since I started my wine journey, this is my first Tavel rosé. Striking deep pink color, as this is Tavel, and floral/strawberry accents on the nose.

Medium-plus body with moderate acidity. Dense on the palate with flavors of strawberry, Morello cherry, slightly bitter mineral, and black tea. The flavors linger for some time.

Yeah, this isn't your usual rosé. Drinks almost similar to a Finger Lakes cabernet franc, with which I have much more experience. Really great stuff though. $12 USD from Last Bottle is basically theft.

Day 1: What a great value for under $18 with tax. Lightly chilled as I like my Tavel. Bing cherry, dust, floral notes, spice, minerals and sour raspberries. This easily has a few more years but is great right now.
Day 2: A wine drinkers Rose. Bing Cherries, spice, earth, minerals, rose petals and dried herbs. Nice acidity. 91 points
Recommendation: Solid again.

Five years on and a rose is still singing? I really prefer this over so many rosés. It has a real “creaminess” and none of the tooty frooty flavors of overripe warm grapes. This could easily go another year or two but it’s so tasty now. Perfect summer picnic wine.

Uncorked.fr nailed the tasting note so I’ll just be repeating what they said.

Deep pink, almost ruby red.

Tantalizingly ripe watermelon, strawberry, cherry wrapped around a core of nervy vinosity ignites the palate like a phosphorus grenade.

Do not be alarmed by the 14.5 ABV. There’s balance and finesse to this Tavel. I’d downed the whole bottle before I realized the foolishness of doing so. That’s what awesome wine will do to you.

Excellent QPR at $17.

Rose's on the Deck (For a Time): A Summer Party -2nd Edition (Matt and Brenda's, Minneapolis, MN): Deep strawberry color. Small glass. Well, yes it is full and intense and ripe and structured, and a bit more than i prefer in a rose. A bit clunky.

Very FULL, creamy & rich with flavors of very ripe strawberries and red raspberries, with scents of fresh lilacs. Colors of cotton candy and blood orange . This is a huge Tavel... I really love it!!! For $20, this wine has a Fantastic QPR. Buy as much as you can.

The first AOC for Rose, and that AOCs most storied property. Fresh, but with also some guts to it. And has a bit of a bitter, herby quality to the back of the palate. This with blacked fish is apparently just amazing.

My journey through Tavel continues with one of the classic producers of the region. Beautiful shade of medium ruby in the glass. It's shed some of that heat and tightness these wines tend to show in their first year of life and displays a very pure nose of cherry, white pepper, rose, strawberry, dried herbs and pink grapefruit. The palate is ripe and gently grippy with lots of stone fruit character along with plum, raspberry and cherry. The finish is fresh but quite simplistic with some nice crushed stone character. In its prime but will cruise for a couple of years. A good Tavel drinking now.

Deep color. Rich. Slightly sweet. This is a darker and more intense rose than I really prefer, but it is still quite enjoyable. Intense black cherry, pepper, some licorice. Fruity finish yet also with slate and salt.
