Medium body, medium acid, bone dry with savory notes of cranberry and sour cherry. A bit herbaceous. Medium length with a warm, sharp finish. A little unbalanced with the alcohol taking prominence. |

4/28/2024 - 831900_ Likes this wine: NRSomewhat richer than the Domaine Corne-Loup Tavel, but close in terms of its austerity. No stone, but some cherry in the nose and mouth. A bit tough with food. Richer mouthfeel without being even a little bit creamy. |

6/1/2023 - CC_H Likes this wine: 90 pointsMy journey through Tavel continues with one of the classic producers of the region. Beautiful shade of medium ruby in the glass. It's shed some of that heat and tightness these wines tend to show in their first year of life and displays a very pure nose of cherry, white pepper, rose, strawberry, dried herbs and pink grapefruit. The palate is ripe and gently grippy with lots of stone fruit character along with plum, raspberry and cherry. The finish is fresh but quite simplistic with some nice crushed stone character. In its prime but will cruise for a couple of years. A good Tavel drinking now. |
