7/27/2016 - ISOPinot Likes this wine: 85 pointsAromas of sour cherry with a hint of clove. Flavors of sour cherry, maybe a bit of raspberry. Lighter-bodied than many Pinot Noirs. Fast legs. Medium finish. It seems that the blending grapes were probably similiar in body and taste, but did not add further dimension to the wine. There are detectable fruit tannins. Overall impression: an OK quality, pleasant enough wine that will likely fit the bill for those who want a daily drinker. At the $6 "on sale" price paid, QPR is average. Had I paid the more typical price of $8 - $11 QPR would be below average. Drink now. |
